FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment at the registration office?
No. The Munich registration office works by appointment only. With us, you don't need your own appointment – we go to the authority for you.
How long does it take?
Usually 24 hours once we have all your documents.
How much does a registration cost?
The cost consists of the official authority fees plus our service fee, and licence plates if needed. Just ask – you'll receive a clear quote in advance.
Can I order the registration online?
You can commission us online – by phone, WhatsApp or the contact form. The registration itself is not a purely digital process: the authority needs your documents in original and a signed power of attorney. Photos are enough for our advance check. Details: order your car registration online.
Why do you need a power of attorney?
A registration service may only apply on your behalf with a written power of attorney. The authority requires it in original.
Do you offer fast registration?
Yes, your registration is usually done within 24 hours once we have all your documents. We cannot guarantee this for every single case. More on fast car registration in Munich.
What is an eVB number?
The electronic insurance confirmation – a seven-character code from your car insurer. Without it, no registration or change of ownership is possible.
I've just moved to Germany. Can I register a car?
You need to be registered with your main residence in Munich first (Anmeldung at the citizens' office). Then we can register your car.
Do I need a German bank account?
Vehicle tax is collected by SEPA direct debit, so you need an IBAN from a SEPA account.
Can I keep my licence plate?
Often yes: when moving to Munich with a registered car, and when buying a car that is still registered. When deregistering, you can reserve your number for twelve months.
Are you a government office?
No. We are a private registration service acting on your behalf at the Munich registration authority.
Which languages do you speak?
German, English and Turkish.
